Whoa! These are the new RateBoard Team-members

Since its foundation in 2015 by Simon Falkensteiner and Matthias Trenkwalder, the company RateBoard is growing and growing steadily. In 2019 we can now count more than 350 hotels, mainly from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy among our customers. Behind a successful company, there is always a motivated team. For this reason, we welcome four new employees in summer 2019.

In our daily work at RateBoard, we give great importance to flat hierarchies, to new ideas and a lot of flexibility. In our office in Innsbruck it is time to expand the team again. In our sales team, we are getting new members, Burcu Caglar and Ferdinand Bakay. The developer team is enriched by Alexander Mayr and Martin Schwarz.

Burcu

The friendly voice of Burcu will welcome you at our office telephone in Innsbruck. She is your new contact person for all matters concerning trade fair planning as well as appointment coordination.

"My name is Burcu and I am 32 years old. I grew up and went to school in the Tiroler Oberland. I studied Spanish at the University of Innsbruck.  One of my great passions is travelling, especially to Latin America. Before RateBoard, I worked as support manager in IT for almost 6 years. After I finished my studies, I started looking for a new job. As a result, I came across RateBoard. This successful start-up with a young team in the middle of Innsbruck city was looking for a Sales/Marketing Assistant: I just had to apply - and here I am :) From day one I felt comfortable and accepted into the team. I am happy to be part of RateBoard now."

Ferdi

Ferdinand is our new consulting from Tyrol and supports our sales team.

"My name is Ferdinand and I am the new Sales Manager at RateBoard. During my studies I worked as product manager for a tour operator. During my work, I had a lot of contact with hotels from all over the world and was therefore able to get to know the internal hotel procedures a little better. My first impressions of my new job at RateBoard are great. The work in this young and motivated team as well as the contact with our customers gives me a lot of pleasure. I am looking forward to all the challenges that lie ahead. When I am not in the RateBoard Office, I spend a lot of time in the mountains, go hiking, skiing, snowboarding or mountain biking."

Alex

Alexander supports us in the IT and, together with the development team, is responsible for putting all our product ideas into practice.

"I am Alex and recently joined the Dev Team at RateBoard. I have been working in the IT industry for about six years and on my first day at RateBoard I was warmly welcomed by everyone. I'm looking forward to making RateBoard even better and having a lot of fun with my new team. It motivates me a lot to be able to actively contribute with my opinion and to be directly involved in the further development of the product. You can see that everyone in the team is happy about the software and that's why there's always a focus on developing it together. I'm looking forward to a great time!"

Martin

Finally, Martin is a new member of our Data Scientist team and responsible for the further development of our algorithm. He provides even better price recommendations for RateBoard.

"I heard of RateBoard immediately after completing my PhD in Mathematics. I immediately liked the job because I always wanted to work in a small company due the much shorter communication channel. On my first day, I was warmly welcomed by all the staff and was also present at the first team lunch. There is a very familiar and friendly atmosphere, though the content is very professional. I'm very much looking forward to continuing my work at RateBoard and being able to contribute woth my knowledge and ideas."

All four of them have already worked very well in their areas and completed the RateBoard team. We are looking forward to our next team event :)
